  • Care Instructions: Wash your cast iron griddle in hot water and mild detergent immediately after use. Do not submerge in water or leave to soak. Do not scour as this may remove the seasoning. Do not cool the surface with cold water before washing. Do not place in the dishwasher. Completely dry your cookware immediately after washing to avoid rust. Hand dry with a towel first and then place on the stove on low heat for a few minutes to remove any remaining moisture. If your griddle becomes rusty, clean with fine sandpaper, wash and dry normally, then re-season. Seasoning your cast iron griddle is easy. Simply coat the surface with vegetable oil inside and out), put a piece of foil under the griddle, place in a 300degrees Fahrenheit oven for one hour, remove, let cool, and wipe off any liquefied shortening. With proper care your cast iron griddle will last for generations. Surface wash acacia pedestal with a damp cloth only. Hand dry with towel. Periodically wipe the surface with food grade mineral oil to help prevent cracking. Do not submerge in water. Do not place in the dishwasher. CAUTION: Always use heavy-duty oven mitts when handling a hot griddle. Do not heat in excess of 450 degrees Fahrenheit in the oven or 600 degrees Fahrenheit on the grill.
