  • Care Instructions: Tortilla warmer and bowls are dishwasher safe, or can be handwashed and towel dried. Surface wash acacia tray with a damp cloth only. Hand dry with towel. Periodically wipe the surface with food grade mineral oil to help prevent cracking. Do not submerge in water. Do not place in the dishwasher. Wash your cast iron skillet in hot water and mild detergent before initial use and immediately after each use. Do not submerge in water or leave to soak. Do not scour as this may remove the seasoning. Do not cool the surface with cold water. Do not place in the dishwasher. Completely dry your cookware immediately after washing to avoid rust. Hand dry with a towel first and then place on the stove on low heat for a few minutes to remove any remaining moisture. With proper care your cast iron skillet will last for generations. Do not heat in excess of 450°F. CAUTION: Do not use in microwave. Always use heavy-duty oven mitts when handling a hot skillet. If your skillet becomes rusty, clean with fine sandpaper, wash and dry normally, then re-season. Seasoning your cast iron skillet is easy. Simply coat the surface with vegetable oil (inside and out), put a piece of foil under the skillet, place in a 300°F oven for one hour, remove, let cool, and wipe off any excess oil.
