Copper is an abundant mineral with many important uses. Usually, massive amounts of ore are removed, refined and processed to recover the pure metal. Rarely, copper presents itself in pure form in nature.
These beautiful native copper specimens come from Keweenaw Peninsula in Michigan's Upper Penninsula - an area first mined by Native Americans. Each radiant piece is a unique, natural sculpture.
